1. Service Description
LocalePack provides AI-powered translation services for browser extension localization files (messages.json / _locales format) and web application i18n JSON files (next-intl, react-i18next, i18next, and similar formats). We translate your content into multiple languages using advanced AI language models and deliver the results as a downloadable ZIP archive.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use LocalePack to:
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent our security measures.
- Use automated systems to abuse the service or bypass rate limits.
- Resell or redistribute translations without proper licensing.
3. Pricing and Payments
- Pricing is calculated based on file size (token count) and number of target languages.
- A minimum fee of $9.99 applies to all orders.
- Optional Priority Processing (+$10) provides faster delivery within 1 hour.
- All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
- Prices are displayed in full before payment and are final once confirmed. Prices are shown in USD and do not include applicable local taxes (e.g. VAT), which may be added at checkout depending on your jurisdiction.
4. EU / EEA Consumers — Right of Withdrawal
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, EEA consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from distance contracts. However, in accordance with Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, the right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of digital content not supplied on a tangible medium where performance has begun with your prior express consent and acknowledgment that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.
By submitting a translation order and proceeding to payment, you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the digital content delivery and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the translation processing has begun. This does not affect your rights under our Refund Policy (Section 5) or your statutory rights relating to faulty or non-conforming digital content.
5. Refund Policy
We offer refunds in the following cases:
- Service failure: If we cannot deliver your translations due to a technical error on our end.
- Quality issues: If translations contain systematic errors (not minor stylistic preferences).
Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of order completion. Contact us at support@localepack.app with your order details.
EU/EEA consumers retain statutory rights for non-conforming digital content under Directive 2019/770, in addition to the above policy.
6. Intellectual Property
Your content: You retain all rights to your original content and the translations we produce for you.
Our service: LocalePack's branding, website design, and underlying technology remain our intellectual property.
7. Translation Quality
Our translations are generated using advanced AI language models and are designed for browser extension and web application i18n use cases. While we strive for high quality:
- Translations are provided "as-is" without guarantee of perfection.
- We recommend reviewing translations for critical applications.
- Placeholders (e.g.
$PLACEHOLDER$,{{variable}}) are preserved exactly as provided.
8. Data Handling
Your uploaded files and translations are stored for 7 days, after which they are permanently deleted. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling, including your rights under GDPR and CCPA.
9. Limitation of Liability
LocalePack is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order in question. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. If you are a consumer located in the EU/EEA, the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply regardless of any governing law clause.
We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any dispute informally. EU consumers also have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of LocalePack after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when changes are made.
